Just two months removed from crowning the 2023 champions, the DHL Super Rugby competition is back with an extravagant draw announcement.
The 2024 season will kick off with a rematch of the 2023 final between the Crusaders and Chiefs on February 23rd.
Embarking on their third campaign in the Super Rugby Pacific competition, Moana Pasifika begin their season against the Highlanders at Forsyth Bar on February 24th.
Round Two of the Super Rugby Pacific season will see all 12 teams head to AAMI Park in an action-packed weekend of rugby with ‘Super Round’ returning from Friday 1st March through to Sunday 3rd March. The home of the Melbourne Rebels, AAMI Park is highly regarded as one of the best sporting stadiums in the Southern Hemisphere and is the perfect venue to host such a spectacular gathering.
Friday’s double-header gets started with a New Zealand derby between the Highlanders and Blues, followed by an Australian affair between the hometown Rebels and Western Force. Saturday kicks off with a monumental Battle of the Pacific clash between Moana Pasifika and the Fijian Drua. The 2 games of 2023 have been very close affairs, with the biggest margin only 2 points, in favour of the Drua, so fireworks can be expected once again in Melbourne. The Pasifika matchup will be followed by the Crusaders taking on the Waratahs.
Sunday’s proceedings are both Trans-Tasman contests between the Chiefs and Brumbies, and the Hurricanes and Reds.
Time for a trip across the ditch? Well Super Round Melbourne returns to AAMI Park! Kicking off on Friday March 1st, brace yourself for six action-packed games over three days at one epic venue. Join the waitlist for early access on Monday 21st August and get 30% off your three-day pass!
Moana Pasifika are gearing up to host their games across the Pacific and in the regions of New Zealand. Look out for the upcoming announcements on these locations.
Super Rugby Pacific’s themed rounds are back for 2024, with Super Round, Kids Round and Culture Round included in the draw. 2024 will also welcome the introduction of a commemorative ‘ANZAC’ round.
With a new Head Coach at the helm, Moana Pasifika will be excited to launch into their third season.
