The iconic Drums of the Pacific New Zealand is bringing their unique sound to Moana Pasifika’s home game against the Melbourne Rebels on Friday at FMG Stadium, Waikato. Kick off at 7:05pm (NZT)
They’ll be bringing the beats and good vibes before and after the game as Moana Pasifika aims for back to back victories.
Many will recognise the South Auckland based Polynesian performers from New Zealand Warriors games, where they were contracted for 28 years.
Manager and Director of Drums of the Pacific New Zealand, Jacob Samson said they’re excited to be performing at the match.
“We are stoked to be part of the first home game tomorrow night. It is truly a blessing.”
“We are looking forward to setting that real Pacific atmosphere and hopefully it will hype our boys up to do well. We’re excited for this new journey.”
Moana Pasifika Events Manager Sera Mika said “We’re thrilled to have Drums of the Pacific join us on game day. They represent Pasifika through and through. They have a beautiful and powerful rhythmic sound with an ability to uplift the mood and energy of those around them.”
