In support of the Village Trust and their important food bank the Moana Pasifika team helped pack some very special food parcels volunteering their time on their day off.
After filling boxes with Christmas goodies and wrapping gifts for children, the team headed out in their cars to deliver the Christmas food parcels across Auckland and onto the doorsteps of our Pacific families who are doing it tough in these challenging times isolating due to Covid – from Avondale to Glen Innes, Otahuhu to Otara.
Fresh out of MIQ himself, Christian Lealiifano shared “It’s really humbling to see what Sir Michael Jones and his team and family do here in the village and what they do for the community is truly special.
“I think a lot of the boys felt that walking in today, seeing all the hard work and literal blood, sweat and tears with all the hard work going into packing boxes and getting them out to the community and the vulnerable communities.
“We’re just trying to do our small part trying to contribute to help the families that are vulnerable and in need… it’s part of who we are as people.”
We are committed to the betterment of our community and thrilled with the partnership we have established with the Village Trust.
