Moana Pasifika is delighted to welcome Korowai Projects as another Pasifika Upper Back of Jersey sponsor through their ground-breaking targeted initiative.
Pasifika businesses were invited to sponsor individual jerseys in an opportunity to leverage the Super Rugby team’s global platform. The campaign has been a major success with only one jersey position remaining.
Korowai Projects will have their logo positioned on the back of the number 14 jersey, worn by Tima Fainga’anuku, Solomone Kata and Tomasi Alosio in Moana Pasifika’s debut Super Rugby Pacific Season.
Chief Executive Officer Pelenato Sakalia is pleased with the traction the initiative has received. “There are a plethora of Pasifika-owned businesses who are excelling in their respective fields and it is wonderful to be able to continue to elevate their brands by offering them a unique sporting partnership.”
“Korowai Projects is a perfect fit for Moana Pasifika. They are a collective of Māori & Pasifika-owned construction companies who work together together on large-scale projects. Their strength is in their diversity which is synonomous with our rugby team.”
Ropu Korowai is a Māori and Pasifika collaborative business set to deliver infrastructure projects at scale in Aotearoa. Their people have a common drive and aspiration to showcase Māori and Pasifika culture, world views and talents to deliver infrastructure for a better Aotearoa.
Korowai Projects Managing Director Caleb Male says that this is just the start of a great and meaningful relationship. “Korowai Projects is really excited to become a part of the Moana Pasifika whānau! It is our first-ever sponsorship with a Super Rugby Pacific team.”
“Korowai and Moana Pasifika have alignment in our core values and brands, so this partnership came naturally to us,” says Male.
“Our support of our Moana Pasifika family will see us proudly engage with fans and support the club for the 2023 season. By connecting with people through our passion of rugby, we hope to further our impact with our partners and communities to delivery better project-outcomes for clients and communities!”
