They made it all the way to the semi-final against Fiji which was very close contest, with the Moana girls losing 38-41.
The girls only had two trainings together before the tournament, showing their amazing grit and determination to achieve some awesome results.
Throughout the weekend they defeated Niue with a whopping 68-13 victory and beat The Nesian Project 44-38.
Dynamic defender Rowena Tapling also made the team of the tournament.
They showed incredible fight even when they were trailing with their hustle on defence shining through.
Vagana said it was a great chance for the team to gain exposure and develop their game, with this just the beginning of a bright future ahead.
“If there’s an opportunity to go and represent their nation, we want them to know that there’s a pathway for them,” Vagana said.
The squad will now prepare for Moana Pasifika’s Netball Festival held on October 18, which is the organisation’s biggest community event of the year.
