Abraham Pole was born in Auckland and moved to Dunedin with his family when he was 10.

Among his teammates, Pole is known for his humour, flamboyant personality and high energy. He has an exceptional work ethic.

Pole was a highly sought after prospect out of Otago Boys High School where he played for the First XV.

He was named in a star-studded New Zealand Secondary Schools team in 2017. This included All Blacks’ Tupou Vaa’i, Quinn Tupaea and Tamaiti Williams.

The powerful prop is known for being a strong ball runner, defender and prolific try scorer.

Pole made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders against Moana Pasifika in 2022. He made two appearances for the Crusaders before transferring to Moana Pasifika in the same year.

He has played for Otago in NPC since 2021.
