South Auckland star Alamanda Motuga returns for his fourth season with Moana Pasifika.

Motuga possesses a powerful and athletic game, letting his actions on the field do the talking.

He attended Manurewa High School and was part of the First XV. He began playing with Manurewa in the Counties-Manukau Amateur Federation Championship, and also played rugby sevens for the Auckland Marist side.

Motuga began his professional career on the international HSBC Sevens circuit representing his home nation of Samoa. Motuga was a member of the Samoan team that won the 2016 Paris Sevens and also made history with the side playing at their first ever Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

His talent and hard work also earning him a spot on the fifteen-man Manu Samoa team, which he made his debut for in the 2019 Pacific Nations Cup against Tonga.
