54-test All Black Julian Savea has etched his name into rugby history with his explosive running game and ability to break through the strongest of defensive lines. For the first time in 2024, Savea will wear the ocean blue Moana Pasifika jersey during the Super Rugby Pacific Season, after 153 games for the Hurricanes. The nickname ‘the bus’ was inspired by his devastating style of play that made him a world rugby sensation.
Having played his last All Black test in 2017, Savea is now able to switch his international allegiance and represent his Samoan heritage. Savea hails from the villages of Siumu, Luatanu’u, and Falesiu Uta.
