Energetic winger Neria Fomai is a product of the Hawkes Bay and returns in 2024 for his third season with Moana Pasifika. In March 2022, he made his Super Rugby debut and also scored his first try against the Chiefs. The rapid winger is an excitement machine always looking for work off his wing, and in an age where the game of winger is constantly evolving, Fomai has continued to grow his game year in year out. Fomai has also played rugby internationally for Samoa in Sevens and Fifteens. He joined the Samoa Sevens squad in 2017 after playing in the IRB Sevens World Series competitions in 2012–13. His prolific try scoring ability was on full display, putting up 65 points in 60 games on the Sevens circuit, earning him his Fifteen a side debut for the Manu Samoa in 2021.
