Ola Tauelangi was born and raised in Victoria, Australia and only began playing rugby at the age of 16.
He spent two years at St Patrick’s College Ballarat before joining the Melbourne Rising program.
He was selected to the Melbourne Rebels Academy in 2019 and went on to represent Melbourne’s National Rugby Championship team that same year while also playing for Melbourne University.
With experience playing for the Rebels A side in 2020, Tauelangi made his name in Sydney playing in the Shute Shield. Tauelangi was a star for Gordon in 2021, earning him a pre-season contract with the NSW Waratahs.
In his first Super Rugby season in 2024 he played 11 matches for Moana Pasifika, showcasing his tremendous work ethic which has served him well on his rugby journey.
