Samiuela Moli was born and raised in Gisborne. His older brother Atu played for the All Blacks and his younger brother Monu played for Moana Pasifika in the 2025 season.

Moli attended Marlborough Boy’s High School. He is a qualified builder and before breaking onto the Super Rugby scene he worked as a builder in the off-season while he played for the Tasman Mako.

Samiuela Moli is an established member of Moana Pasifika being with the team since its inaugural season in 2022. He made his debut against the Crusaders.

Moli was part of the Marlborough Boys College First XV and made his debut for the Tasman Mako in Round 9 of the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup against Counties Manukau. He was then named in the Tasman Mako squad for the 2020 season. They won back to back premiership titles with Moli coming off the bench in a 13-12 win over Auckland in the final.

He got the call up to represent the ‘Ikale Tahi in 2021, making his test debut against the All Blacks. Moli was also part of the Tonga 2023 Rugby World Cup squad.
