Moana Pasifika is Mafileo’s third Super Rugby team having played 53 games for the Blues from 2015-2020 and 13 for the Chiefs from 2021-2022.

Mafileo is one of the most experienced players on Moana Pasifika.

He was a New Zealand Schoolboys representative in 2011 and was a member of the New Zealand Under 20s side which competed in the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France.

Mafileo attended Wesley College and St Kentigern College, excelling in rugby at both schools and winning the Auckland schools competition with the latter in 2012.

He plays for North Harbour Rugby in the Bunnings NPC.
