Counties Manukau Steelers standout Suetena Asomua picks up his first full-time contract after joining Moana Pasifika as a replacement in previous seasons. Making his debut against the Blues in 2022, Asomua has nine appearances for the squad and has worked his way to a deserved roster spot in 2024. The powerful tighthead prop who attended Wesley College represented both New Zealand and Samoa’s U20 teams, before going on to earn a contract with Counties Manukau in 2018. From the villages of Lufilufi, Nofoali’i, and Falelatai in Samoa, Asomua is in for a breakout season with Moana Pasifika in 2024.
