Moana Pasifika held a special breakfast event this week, ‘Empowering Women in Business and Sports Leadership.
Uniting 100 phenomenal women, the lively Q&A session featured insights and shared experiences from esteemed panellists: Gerardine Clifford-Lidstone (Secretary for Pacific Peoples and Chief Executive of the Ministry for Pacific Peoples), Raelene Castle ONZM (Group Chief Executive of Sport New Zealand and High Performance Sport NZ), and Debbie Sorensen D.C.C.T, CMInstD, NZRPN (CEO of Pasifika Medical Association Group and Moana Pasifika’s Vice Chair). The talented Marama T-Pole, co-host of TV One’s weekly Pacific programme, Tagata Pasifika, guided the event as emcee.
Unveiled at the event was Moana Pasifika’s Navigators Club, aimed at supporting and contributing to the pathway and development of young Pasifika women and men through the club’s growth.
With partnerships in place with NZ Rugby and World Rugby, Moana Pasifika’s new women’s programme is set to make waves next year.
